Instagram Spring Makeup Trends you Need to Try in 2018

You don’t need to be an Instagram junkie to appreciate the latest makeup looks. After tons of snooping, I’ve collected the top spring makeup trends on Instagram for 2018. And although I can’t say I’m in love with them all (lollipop lips, cough, cough!), it’s always nice to experiment with new styles. My favorites are the pastel colors and glitters; they give a cute, light-heated vibe for spring. Check out what made the list!

Stripe eyes

I call this one Little Ms.Trendsetter. It’s edgy and fashionable, but not an everyday look. You can create stripe eyes in two main ways: colored liner or metallic stick-ons.

If this inspirational image seems to overwhelming, you can do a simpler version. Instead, just draw a single colored line over your eye lid; this way, you’re still getting that funky effect without going overboard.

Lime green eyes

For eyes that go POW, this is your must-have trend! Since lime is obviously a wild color, it draws tons of attention so they’re not for the shy of heart.

If you’re going to attempt this look, keep the rest of your makeup extremely natural-- you know, because lime eyes and bright red lips may seem a little Halloween. The focus must stay on your eyes: the main statement!

Lollipop lips

Okay, love it or hate it, lollipop lips are the biggest Instagram makeup trend for spring 2018. And by its name, you can probably guess what it’s all about. Apparently, the beauty industry decided that half-smudged lips are chic, specifically ones that appear like you just devoured a Popsicle or some juicy treat.

I could see how this trend may seem cool because it’s pretty original but let’s not beat around the bush, it’s provocative!

Glitter

Who doesn’t love glitter? It’s flirty, feminine and captures everything we love about makeup. For spring 2018, the Instagram trend is to rock glitter on the eyelids and lips. You can go with metallic sparkles or colored ones-- just don’t be afraid to get a bit messy. After all, makeup is an art!
