How to Cure Yeast Infections Naturally

Probiotics

Probiotics are the good bacteria that live inside your body-- even inside your nether regions. They are responsible for preventing harmful germs from growing inside and causing infections. The most common type of bacteria is called Lactobacillus, which helps create a more acidic vaginal environment to prevent the growth of bad microbes.

Take two probiotic capsules daily to overcrowd the party of Candida (yeast) and help heal the infection.

Coconut oil

Along with your probiotics, you should take anti-fungals. These remedies are natural herbs or oils that help kill off the yeast. Coconut oil is a safe anti-fungal that you can use as a natural cure for yeast infections.

According to Dr.Bruce Fife, author of the book, “The Healing Miracles of Coconut Oil”, you can apply some to a tampon for insertion. He also suggests using coconut oil to your external parts to relax the itchy sensation. Since coconut oil has anti-inflammatory properties, it can soothe a burning vulva.

Go sugar-free for a week

Did you know that sugar is Candida’s food source? So eating all those sugary, starchy comfort foods will only worsen your yeast condition. According to Jessica Shepherd, MD, an assistant professor of gynecology, “When you’ve had too much sugar and your body can’t get rid of it, the sugar can end up in your blood, including to the vagina.” By going sugar-free (as much as possible), you’ll starve the yeast so it can naturally die off.

Echinacea

Echinacea is a popular herb that boosts your immune system. As explained by Medical News Today, “the herb encourages the immune system and reduces many of the symptoms of colds, flu and some other illnesses and infections.” Taking this supplement can strengthen your immunity, helping your body fight the yeast infection.
