You'll Love These Natural Beauty Tips for the Holidays

Let’s be honest, we all want to look dazzly for the holidays. Whether you’ve got an office party coming up or just a simple family gathering, we get giddy knowing we’re glowing (or as Andrew would say, “you lookin’ finnneee girl!”). Well, fortunately, we don't need to spend hours in the bathroom or create a messy science experiment of products. Seriously, we don’t! I’m going to share some of my favourite natural beauty tips for the holidays. It’s the gift that keeps on giving!

Silk pillows for soft skin

You’d never think of your pillow cover as an anti aging trick, right? But it is! After switching from a cotton pillow case to a silk one, my skin got surprisingly softer.

Apparently, the cotton cases tug at your skin if you move around in your sleep, leading to fine lines over time. Yup! The silk ones, though, are more delicate and slidey on your skin... How’s that for beauty sleep?

Natural face soap

I swear by natural soap! Unlike the regular face washes which are filled with harsh chemicals, the natural soaps gently remove dirt without drying and stripping your skin. They’re made with hydrating oils (non clogging) that leave your face feeling clean and awake.

That’s why I stopped bothering with fancy skin care labels. The natural stuff keeps me refreshed and ready to take on whatever the day throws at me!

Rosehip oil for bright eyes

Rosehip oil is my secret remedy for fine lines-- well, now not so secret. In any case, it’s often a main ingredient in many high-end anti aging creams. But if you just purchase rosehip oil on its own, it’s pretty affordable and works amazingly!

You can find it at most health stores. Just apply it under your eyes every night and wake up looking more glowy. Love it!

Aloe vera beauty mask

Some beauty masks are too rich, while others are too intense— and many are just blah! For the perfect balance, aloe vera makes a gorgeous natural skin-healing mask, letting your face become brighter and smoother.

I wear it a couple nights a week while I sleep. The texture is kind of goopy, but it’s like giving your face a glass of water— so healthy!

Shimmering highlight powder

Highlighters obviously aren’t natural, but when used well, they enhance natural beauty! Is that cheating? Maybe a bit. But it’s one of my favourite ways to boost my complexion, especially after a long week.

When I doll up, I use a golden-based powder and lightly dust it along the high points of my cheeks.

Just don’t go overboard with it or you’ll be too shiny. The idea is to bring out your natural glow-- not to cover up all your loveliness!

Happy holidays, ladies!
